Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 23, 2026
UrMorning is operated by GenAccel LLC, a Texas limited liability company located in Frisco, Texas.
This Privacy Policy explains how GenAccel LLC ("UrMorning," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the UrMorning mobile application and our website at urmorning.com (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 From the iOS app
- Apple Sign In identity: When you sign in with Apple, we receive an opaque identifier (Apple's "sub" claim), and on first sign-in only, your name and email if you choose to share them. We use Apple's relay email if you select "Hide My Email."
- Device installation ID: A random identifier created on your device. We use it as your primary record key — it is not tied to your personal identity.
- Photos you upload for Photo Help: Images you take to get help reading mail, pill bottles, forms, and similar items.
- Screenshots from Screen Guidance: While a Screen Guidance session is active, your device sends UrMorning frames of what is on your screen so we can give spoken step-by-step guidance.
- Apple Push Notification token: Used to deliver push notifications.
- App analytics events: Limited product events such as "paywall viewed" and "purchase started," tied only to your install ID, used to improve the app.
1.2 From the gifting flow on our website
- Buyer (gift giver): First name, email address (Stripe Checkout), and payment information processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card number.
- Gift recipient: First name and mobile phone number, used solely to pre-fill the text message you send from your own phone. We do not text the recipient ourselves.
1.3 From RevenueCat (subscriptions)
When you start, renew, or cancel a subscription through the App Store, RevenueCat informs us of the change so we can keep your access in sync. RevenueCat sees an anonymous user identifier — your install ID — not your real name.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To operate the Service: Authenticate you, store your preferences, deliver Photo Help and Screen Guidance answers, send push notifications, and bill your subscription.
- To process gifts: Generate gift codes, take payment via Stripe, link gift codes to the recipient's device on redemption.
- To support you: Respond to email questions and resolve issues.
- To improve the Service: Aggregate analytics, error monitoring, and product research.
- To comply with legal obligations: Tax, accounting, fraud prevention, and lawful requests.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to train AI models. We do not show advertising in UrMorning.
3. Third-Party Services We Use
We share only the minimum information each service needs to perform its function:
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, App Store in-app purchases, push notifications.
- OpenAI — Photo Help vision and answer generation. Images and questions you submit are sent to OpenAI for processing. Under our API agreement, OpenAI does not use this data to train its models.
- Anthropic — Screen Guidance vision and instruction generation. Screen frames during a guidance session are sent to Anthropic for processing. Under our API agreement, Anthropic does not use this data to train its models.
- Stripe — Web checkout for gift purchases. Stripe receives your payment information directly; we never see it.
- RevenueCat — App Store subscription management.
- Supabase — Database and storage, hosted in the United States.
- Sentry — Error tracking. We do not intentionally send personal data to Sentry.
Each provider has its own privacy policy and security practices.
4. AI Features — Informational Guidance Only
UrMorning provides general informational guidance — not medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Outputs from Photo Help and Screen Guidance are generated by artificial intelligence and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Always consult a doctor, pharmacist, lawyer, accountant, or other qualified professional before making any decision based on what the app tells you.
You are responsible for verifying important information with a qualified professional before acting on it. See our Terms of Service for the full disclaimer.
5. Data Retention
- Photos uploaded for Photo Help: Up to 180 days, then automatically deleted.
- Screen Guidance frames: Held only during the active session; deleted automatically when the session ends.
- Gift records: Kept for the life of the subscription plus a reasonable period thereafter to honor refunds and resolve disputes.
- Analytics events: Aggregated and retained indefinitely; not tied to your real identity.
- Account record: Until you delete your account.
6. Your Rights
You can exercise the following rights at any time:
- Access and export — Export your data as JSON from inside the app or by emailing us.
- Deletion — Delete your account from inside the app. We permanently remove your data from our systems and instruct our processors (including OpenAI and Anthropic) to do the same.
- Correction — Update your information in the app.
- Withdraw consent — Stop using the Service. You can also turn off push notifications in iOS Settings.
We aim to respond to rights requests within 30 days. To exercise a right, use the in-app controls or email support@urmorning.com.
If you live in California, the Consumer Privacy Act gives you the rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. If you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to processing, and data portability under the GDPR / UK GDPR.
7. Security
- All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS / TLS).
- Authentication tokens are stored in your device's Secure Enclave / Keychain.
- Our database uses row-level security so each install can only access its own records.
- Service-role credentials are restricted to backend systems and never sent to the client.
No system is completely secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
UrMorning is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Tracking and Advertising
UrMorning does not track you across other apps or websites. We do not use advertising identifiers. We do not sell or rent your information to advertisers or data brokers.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page and, where appropriate, communicated in the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
